Well, if you're an adult then do a yahoo!search for free online virtual worlds. The games that come up are mostly downloads. Or try Secondlife.com, Outerworlds.com, or Moove.com.
well i suggest downloading it by p2pdownload 3d adventure games. I just download great games through p2p like metal gear solid pc, crazy taxi, sims 2, fifa 2002, hour of the dead and final fantasy 7 and they are all the full games. I use Aries to download quick small quality games but i use shareaza to donload big hugh games like sims 2 up to 1 or 2 GB.

Try going to Kewlbox.com, Miniclip.com, PopCap.com... i'm just not so sure if you can define some games on these website as adventure, but most of them nice flash games... some are also free :)
